1Do you offer surf lessons for beginners?
Yes! We welcome all levels, from complete beginners to intermediate surfers. Our instructors will guide you step by step, so you can enjoy the waves safely and confidently.
2How far is Surfers Heimat from the beach?
The hostel is just a short walk (around 10 minutes) to Tamraght beach, one of the best surf spots in Morocco.
3Can I book a private room or a dorm?
We offer both private rooms for extra comfort and shared dorms for a social surf hostel experience. You can choose the option that suits you best when booking
4Do you arrange airport transfers?
Absolutely! We can organize transfers from Agadir Airport directly to the hostel. Just send us your flight details when booking.
5Can I book surf & stay packages?
Yes, we offer surf and yoga packages that include accommodation, surf lessons, and meals — a perfect all-in-one experience
6How do I get to Taghazout or Tamraght?
You can reach both via Agadir Airport (50 min away). Options include taxis (≈300 MAD), private transfers, or buses. Tamraght and Taghazout are only 10 minutes apart by taxi (≈50 MAD).
7Where’s better to stay—Taghazout or Tamraght?
is lively with surf camps, cafés, and nightlife. Tamraght is quieter, more local, and relaxed. Both are close and easy to explore together.
8Is tap water safe to drink?
It’s treated but many travelers prefer bottled water to avoid stomach upsets. Bottled water is cheap and widely available.
9Any pollution or dirty water concerns?
After heavy rains, runoff can make seawater brown. Surfers usually wait 2–3 days before going back in the water.
10What currency should I bring?
The Moroccan Dirham (MAD). Always carry cash—many cafés and shops don’t accept cards. ATMs are available in Tamraght and Agadir.
11What type of plugs are used?
Morocco uses 220 V with Type C and E plugs. A universal adapter is recommended.
12What should I pack?
Surf gear (wetsuit, leash, wax), sunscreen, layered clothes for cool evenings, reusable bottle, and small first aid kit. Surf camps usually provide boards and wetsuits if needed.
13Is surfing safe, and do I need my own board?
Yes! Surfing is beginner-friendly here. Instructors adjust based on your level. Boards and wetsuits are included in most lessons.
14Is it safe for solo female travelers?
Yes. Many solo women visit Taghazout and Tamraght safely. Locals are welcoming, and taxis/inDrive apps make getting around easy.
15What can I do beyond surfing?
Day trips to Paradise Valley, Imsouane, or Agadir Souk, quad biking, yoga, sandboarding, skate parks, and exploring local markets are all popular options.
